Air & Energy Newsletter 2022

Grateful for a Successful Pet Food Drive

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our pet food drive for Humane Society of Manatee County’s pet food pantry! It warms our hearts to know that every bag donated will be filling the belly of a much-loved family pet in our community who might otherwise go hungry or be surrendered to a shelter.

We’re so grateful to our community partners who came together to help with this event. Thank you to MCF, The Center of AMI, and The Manatee Chamber of Commerce for serving as additional drop-off locations and helping us get the message out about the pet food drive!

We’ll continue collecting donations of sealed cat and dog food through August 31st.

Speaking to Future HVAC Techs

Stewart & Ryan made their way over to speak to the HVAC class at Manatee Technical College this month. We’re grateful to be involved in the education of the next generation of HVAC techs! Keep up the great work, guys. 🌟

Reasons HVAC Systems Lose Efficiency

Here in Florida, summer can be a little intense. The extreme heat and humidity put our air conditioning units through a lot of stress while they work almost constantly to cool our homes. It’s normal for our electric bills to spike in summer as A/C units are forced to run more frequently, but outdoor heat is not the only thing that can cause your air conditioning to lose efficiency. Here we’ll go over other reasons HVAC systems lose efficiency and may be costing more in utility bills than it should be… [Read More]

“Casey is an exemplary employee. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous, timely and honest. In a day and age, when it is difficult to hire/retain great employees, it is wonderful to see this level of professionalism. Thank you for a great experience. Will a Frozen A/C Fix Itself?

It’s easy to joke that an air conditioning unit able to encase itself in ice during a Florida summer should have no problem keeping things cold. Unfortunately, being stuck in the sweltering heat and humidity even for a day is no laughing matter. We’ll go over how to tell if your A/C is frozen and what to do if it freezes.

Reasons HVAC Systems Lose Efficiency

Outdoor heat is not the only thing that can cause your air conditioning to lose efficiency. Here we’ll go over other reasons HVAC systems lose efficiency and may be costing more in utility bills than it should be.

Ductless Mini-Split A/C vs. Central Air Conditioning

Ductless Mini-Split A/C systems are all the rage right now, and we can see why. They’re energy efficient, they allow for customized temperatures in different rooms of your house, they don’t require ductwork, and they’re very, very quiet. Sounds great, right? But mini-splits aren’t right for everyone and they’re certainly not one-size-fits-all. We’ll dive into where, when, and why you should get a mini-split vs. a traditional air conditioning system.
