Grateful for a Successful Pet Food Drive

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our pet food drive for Humane Society of Manatee County’s pet food pantry! It warms our hearts to know that every bag donated will be filling the belly of a much-loved family pet in our community who might otherwise go hungry or be surrendered to a shelter.

We’re so grateful to our community partners who came together to help with this event. Thank you to MCF, The Center of AMI, and The Manatee Chamber of Commerce for serving as additional drop-off locations and helping us get the message out about the pet food drive!

We’ll continue collecting donations of sealed cat and dog food through August 31st.

Here we’ll go over other reasons HVAC systems lose efficiency and may be costing more in utility bills than it should be… [Read More]

Prepare your Home’s AC, Plumbing, & Electrical for a Hurricane

As dreamy as it is to live in paradise, the Gulf Coast of Florida can be far from peaceful when facing hurricanes. The Atlantic hurricane season spans from June 1st through the end of November. The first part of the 2023 storm season has been relatively quiet, but the...

Identify the Parts of Your AC System

It’s easy enough to refer to your air conditioning system as just that—a system. But, when there’s an issue with a specific part of that system, it sure helps to know what the different components are called. In this guide, we’ll define the different parts of an AC or...

Single Speed, Two Stage, & Variable Speed Air Conditioner

Do you know what it means for an air conditioner to be single speed, two-stage, or variable speed? Do you know which one your air conditioner is? We aim to answer these questions for you and explain why an A/C system would be single speed, two-stage (also known as two...

Conserving Water in the Home

Most of Florida’s water is in underground aquifers. With a skyrocketing population tapping into that supply more and more each year, it’s projected that the Sarasota-Bradenton area will likely experience drinking water shortages as soon as 2040 if residents don’t take...

What can be flushed?

From baby wipes to paper towels it seems like everyone is set on telling us what we can’t flush these days, and honestly, that’s for good reason. Products with low flushability can cause serious damage to wastewater systems and water treatment facilities, not to...
