Air & Energy | Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Electrical – Simply Better

November 2021 | A&E Newsletter 🦃

It finally feels like fall!

We’re thankful for this cool, low humidity weather. While that means the intense Florida heat isn’t causing stress on A/C systems, you may be surprised to hear that our team isn’t slowing down!

Actually, we consider fall in Florida to be A/C Maintenance season! Of course plumbing and electrical issues find the most inconvenient times to present themselves, too. You know, like when your whole family is in town for Thanksgiving.

Whether you’re here all year or returning to your Florida home during these cooler months, rest assured that we’ll be here to help you when you need us.

(Is it too early in the season to mention we fix heaters too?)

We had a blast at the Chamber Expo!

Did you get a chance to stop by our Air & Energy booth at the 2021 Manatee Chamber of Commerce expo? It was a cloudy but gorgeous evening out at LECOM field where we had the pleasure of meeting a sea of friendly faces, even some that read this newsletter! The event was a welcome opportunity to network with other local chamber businesses and see some familiar faces.

Originally founded in 1889, the Manatee Chamber of Commerce is an incredible network of over 2,000 local businesses — including us! If you’re in need of any sort of product or service and you want to shop local, give the Chamber a call and ask for their recommendation or check out the directory.

(Hint, hint: Lots of great local restaurants are Chamber members!)

We celebrated our veterans

Thank you to all veterans who have served & their families. Since Veterans Day was this month, We thought we’d share these throwback photo comparisons of the veterans on our team.
Pictured: Kim (Navy), Casey (Marine Corps), and Steve (Air Force)
Not Pictured: Terrence (Army)Interesting Fact: Casey told us that on November 10th the Marine Corps celebrated its 245th birthday!

We do get fall in Florida… It’s just different!

Sure, we don’t see leaves turn red and orange, but there are a number of things we Floridians get to enjoy when fall hits the Sunshine State!

  • Goldenrod and Sunflowers bloom
    • Storm season ends November 30 — Perfect beach weather!
    • Migratory songbirds, shorebirds, hawks, and eagles arrive in Florida
    • Sweaters, jeans, and boots come out
    • Our fire pits get used (and we actually sit near them!)
    • Manatees migrate to hot springs and power plants for warmer water
…And our A/C systems finally catch a break!

Ductless Mini-Split A/C vs. Central Air Conditioning

Ductless Mini-Split A/C systems are all the rage right now, and we can see why. They’re energy efficient, they allow for customized temperatures in different rooms of your house, they don’t require ductwork, and they’re very, very quiet. Sounds great, right? But mini-splits aren’t right for everyone and they’re certainly not one-size-fits-all. We’ll dive into where, when, and why you should get a mini-split vs. a traditional air conditioning system.
