Trane “Wrote The Book” On A/C

Dec 27, 2017 | Blog

Typically, when someone says they “wrote the book on something” they’re identified as the authority of that topic, or they know enough to write the definitive book on it. And Trane did just that. Trane literally wrote the book for air conditioning – Trane Air Conditioning Manual.

A Book That Knows It All

The Trane Air Conditioning Manual is used by many; students use it as a comprehensive textbook, and professionals use it as a valuable source and reference book. This book covers the fundamentals, as well as the practical application of air conditioning. The first edition was published in 1938, just 7 years after Trane patented its first air conditioner. Since then, it’s been revised 5 times to keep pace with fast moving technical advances in the industry.
